Frequently Asked Questions

Prices, dry times, methods, safety and guarantees — everything people ask us before booking a carpet clean in Glasgow.

How much does carpet cleaning cost in Glasgow?
Our carpet cleaning starts at £35 per room with a £60 minimum call-out. Hall, stairs and landing is £75 as a package, rugs start at £30 and a three-seat sofa is £84. You get a fixed price before we unpack a single machine — never a surprise afterwards. Use the instant quote calculator on this page for a realistic range in about ten seconds.
How long does a carpet take to dry?
Two to four hours for most rooms. We use powerful extraction that pulls the vast majority of the moisture straight back out, and we bring air movers for anything heavier. You can walk on the carpet in socks almost immediately; we just ask you to keep shoes off until it is fully dry.
Do you use steam cleaning or dry cleaning?
Both — we pick the method to suit the fibre. Hot water extraction (what most people call steam cleaning) is the deepest clean and what manufacturers recommend for most synthetic and wool-blend carpet. Low-moisture dry cleaning suits delicate natural fibres, and commercial floors that need to be back in use within the hour.
Are your cleaning solutions safe for children and pets?
Yes. We use eco-friendly, non-toxic solutions that are safe once dry, and we rinse thoroughly so nothing sticky is left in the pile. If anyone in the house has asthma or an allergy, tell us when you book and we will use a fragrance-free system.
Can you remove old or set-in stains?
Often, yes — but honestly, not always. Age, fibre type and whatever was used on the stain first all matter. Bleach damage and some dye stains are permanent because the colour itself is gone. We will tell you straight what we expect to achieve before we start, rather than promising a miracle and taking your money.
Do you move furniture?
We move light furniture — sofas, chairs, coffee tables — at no extra charge and put it back on protective pads. We ask you to clear breakables, electronics and anything precious beforehand. We do not move beds, pianos or full wardrobes for insurance reasons.
Which areas of Glasgow do you cover?
The whole of Glasgow city plus Greater Glasgow, Renfrewshire and Lanarkshire — from the West End and Southside out to Paisley, East Kilbride, Bearsden, Motherwell and Kilmarnock. There is no travel surcharge anywhere on our coverage list.
Are you insured, and what if I am not happy?
We are fully insured for public liability and treatment risk, and every technician is trained to IICRC standards. If you are not happy with any area, tell us within 48 hours and we come back and re-clean it free. That is the whole guarantee — no forms, no argument.
Do I need to move the furniture before you arrive?
Clear small items, breakables and anything precious. We move sofas, chairs and coffee tables ourselves at no charge and put them back on protective pads.
Do you clean on weekends and evenings?
Saturdays yes, and evenings by arrangement. Commercial work is routinely done out of hours at no premium on contract jobs.
How do I pay?
Card, bank transfer or cash on completion. Commercial accounts are invoiced to 30 days.
Can you clean carpets in a rented flat for my deposit?
Yes — end-of-tenancy cleans come with a dated, itemised receipt naming the property and rooms cleaned, which is what Glasgow letting agents and deposit schemes ask for.
